“Excellent stay!”
BEST beds of any B&B stayed in do far, so comfy! The B&B is in the perfect location. There is a very short walk down the hill into town and it is on a quiet street so you can get a good night’s sleep after traveling all day. Phil is great and so are her breakfasts! Definitely recommend!

“Thank You”
Phil took us in for 2 nights after the place we had booked had a power failure. All I can say is, thank goodness for that. Danabel was excellent. Close to the village and you got to work off your dinner walking back up the hill. Phil was a great hostess, the breakfasts were excellent with plenty of choice, rooms clean and comfortable. We are very pleased we ended up at Danabel.

“Quiet B & B”
We stayed at Danabel for two nights. Phil, the owner, was quietly reserved; she provided information when asked, but did not go out of her way to “sell” the town. We were shown to our room, a very small bedroom on the 2nd floor, which was clean and adequate for our needs, and given the basic information to get us started in Kinsale. After that we were on our own. Phil offered a nice variety at breakfast, and we enjoyed chatting with other guests at the table. The walk to town is short, but the steep hill climb was not something we wanted to experience at night in the dark. Therefore, we did not take in any late music at the pubs.

“Danabel B & B…our favorite”
My husband and I stayed here for 3 days during our 10 day trip (our first) to Ireland to celebrate out 25th anniversary. We loved Kinsale and the Danabel…I wish we could have stayed here longer. Phil, the owner, was so gracious, friendly and helpful in suggesting things to do and restaurants. ALL the restaurants in Kinsale are amazing. Breakfast at Danabel was fabulous. Our room was immaculate and charming with a view of the harbor. I can’t stop thinking about Kinsale and hope we can return some day to the Danabel and Phil’s kindness…

We enjoyed excellent hospitality and accomodations. Like most bed and breakfasts, room was small but adequate. In room toilet and shower ok. Breakfast was very good and large servings. We would definitely stay here again. Easy walk to town center.

“Nice stay”
We hadn’t made any reservations in Kinsale and decided to knock on the door of this B&B when we arrived. Phil was surprised to see us but was very accommodating. She was painting the upstairs rooms but let us stay in the main floor room. The beds are very comfortable and we had our best sleep of the trip here. It is on a quiet street and a very short walk to the town center. As noted in an earlier review, be advised that the walk is down a very steep hill which you inevitably must climb back up.

“Great Stay with a very sweet host”
We stayed at the Danabel Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights. Our room was very clean and our bed was by far the most comfortable bed I slept on during our 2 week vacation. Phil, the owner at first seemed reserved but after talking to her we realized that she is a very sweet and a wonderful host. I had unfortunately gotten sick before arriving in Kinsale and she accommodating in providing breakfast foods that I could eat as well as great recommendations for places to eat and listen to music. This bed and breakfast in right outside the heart of Kinsale (less than a 5 minute walk) and on a nice quiet residential street. I really like that it’s outside the very center of town because it’s a nice quiet retreat to come back to after a day of exploring. The walk to the b and b is steep, but not insurmountable. We will definably be booking with the Danabel next time we stay in Kinsale.
